Data Deletion
okVibe — Daily Wellbeing Check-In for Independent Living

You have the right to delete your personal data from okVibe at any time. This page explains what data we hold, how to delete it, what happens after deletion, and what we are legally required to retain.
Note: okVibe requires an account for the primary user (the person performing check-ins). All primary user data is linked to your account. Deleting your account is the primary way to remove server-side data.
1. What Data okVibe Holds

2. Types of Deletion
Option A — Full account deletion
Permanently deletes your account and all associated data. This is the most complete option. → See Section 3
Option B — Remove a trusted contact only
Removes a specific trusted contact's data without deleting your account. That person will no longer receive alerts from your account. → Settings → Trusted Contacts → [Select contact] → Remove
Option C — Selective deletion
Request removal of a specific data category without full account deletion. → Email app@icitech.com.tr — subject "Data Deletion Request — Partial". We respond within 30 days.
3. How to Delete Your Account
Account deletion is available directly within the app.
On iOS
Settings → Account → Delete Account → Confirm
- Open okVibe → go to Settings
- Tap Account
- Tap Delete Account
- Read the confirmation — it summarizes what will be permanently deleted
- Tap Confirm Delete
On Android
Settings → Account → Delete Account → Confirm
- Open okVibe → go to Settings
- Tap Account
- Tap Delete Account
- Read the confirmation screen
- Tap Confirm Delete
What the app confirms before deletion
- Summary of all data to be permanently deleted
- Reminder to cancel active subscription first
- Reminder that trusted contacts will no longer receive check-in alerts
- Reminder that deletion is irreversible
Deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once confirmed, your account and data enter the deletion queue and cannot be restored.
4. What Gets Deleted and When
Deleted within 30 days of confirmed deletion

5. Data We Are Required to Retain
The following cannot be deleted during mandatory retention periods:

This data is stored securely with restricted access and used only for its legal retention purpose.
6. Trusted Contact Data — Special Considerations
When you add a trusted contact, we store their name and contact details (phone/email) on your behalf.
Removing a specific trusted contact (without deleting your account)
- Open okVibe → Settings → Trusted Contacts
- Tap the contact you want to remove
- Tap Remove Contact
The contact's data is deleted from our systems within 30 days of removal.
What happens to trusted contacts when you delete your account
When you delete your account:
- All trusted contact records are deleted within 30 days
- Trusted contacts will no longer receive any alerts from your account
- Trusted contacts do not need to take any action — the removal is automatic
If you are a trusted contact wanting your data removed
If someone has added you as a trusted contact in okVibe and you want your data removed, contact us at app@icitech.com.tr with subject "Trusted Contact Data Removal". Include the email address or name of the okVibe account holder where possible. We will remove your data within 30 days.
7. Location Data (SOS)
If you have used the optional SOS feature:
- SOS location data is stored minimally, only as required to deliver the SOS alert
- It is not retained as a log or history in our systems beyond 30 days
- Deleting your account will remove any remaining SOS location records
To stop location collection immediately (without deleting your account):
- Disable SOS in Settings → Safety → SOS
- Revoke location permission in device settings:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → okVibe → Never
- Android: Settings → Apps → okVibe → Permissions → Location → Deny
8. Third-Party Data
Deleting your okVibe account removes data from our servers. Some data exists with third parties:
RevenueCat
Holds a pseudonymous customer ID and subscription history. Account deletion triggers a deletion request to RevenueCat. Direct request: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Apple App Store (iOS)
Holds your App Store purchase history independently. Manage at: https://privacy.apple.com
Google Play (Android)
Holds your Google Play purchase history independently. Manage at: https://myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy
9. After Deletion — Can You Recover Your Data?
No. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.
Once confirmed:
- Check-in history, trusted contacts, settings, and all personal data are removed within 30 days
- There is no grace period or recovery window
- We cannot restore your account after deletion
Before deleting, consider:
- Notifying your trusted contacts that they will no longer receive check-in alerts from you
- Cancelling your active subscription (see Section 10)
- Exporting your data if available via Settings → Privacy → Export My Data
10. Cancel Subscription Before Deleting
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription.

Cancel first, then delete your account. Otherwise, billing may continue even after your account is deleted.
11. Trusted Contacts — Requesting Removal of Their Data
okVibe users add trusted contacts on your behalf. If you are a trusted contact who wants to be removed:
Contact app@icitech.com.tr with subject: "Trusted Contact Data Removal — okVibe"
Include:
- Your name as it may appear in okVibe
- Your contact details (phone or email) used in okVibe
- The name or email of the okVibe account holder (if known)
We will remove your data within 30 days.
